It is very important to make sure that your tyres have not deteriorated, perished, or have any dangerous cuts or splits. Your tyre has a production date code on the sidewall and it is worth making sure it is not outside of the manufacturer's warranty.

You should check that the correct load and speed rated tyres have been fitted for your use, especially if you have not owned the caravan from new. You should be able to get this information from the owner’s manual. If the information is not available you need to work out the total weight and then select a tyre with the correct load index. Please call us for advice if you are not sure.

It is essential that your tyres are correctly inflated when towing, so please call in for a free tyre pressure check.

If you have twin rear wheels and struggle to blow up your inner wheels, or have wheel trims that mean you cannot get to your valves, we have a large selection of valve extensions in stock.

Do you have a Tyron safety band fitted?

The Tyron safety band is an aftermarket safety device fitted to the wheel inside the tyre. It is designed to stop the beads of the tyre collapsing into the well of the wheel when the tyre is driven under inflated.

It is often identified by a red sticker on the wheel at the base of the valve with Tyron written on it. We are not an agent and we do not sell Tyron, nor do we give an opinion on their effectiveness. However we are happy to assist you with your Tyron system. We can safely remove and refit Tyron bands. This is one of the few jobs that has to be booked in advance, and an additional charge will be made per wheel, in addition to the tyre price.
